The D-effects
My final project talks about body image and what is the definition of beauty.
For a whole year I researched the flaws that are on our body and discovered that they are an integral part of body image and beauty.
I decided I had to accept myself as God created me to love myself and let my flaws break out.
My Body Patterns
I decided to copy my body with plaster straps and create a pattern of my body.
First steps to the final project
At the beginning of the journey of the final project and an initial process of understanding the Defects, I examined using a variety of materials familiar to me in the field of textiles.
I used embroidery, knitting, yarns, fabrics - cotton, tights, melted fabric and clay.

Bioplastic Deffects
I experimented with bioplastic recipes to understand the source of the flaws.
I used potato and silicone flour and created a variety of blemishes.
In addition I created veins with the help of imitation caviar from alginate calcium water and honey.
On slides I arranged the defects I made and over them I poured the bio plastic I made.

Silicone and clay swatches
After the bioplastic experiment I looked for materials, a strong durable material that has the ability to copy the deffects and I chose the silicone.
With the help of the clay, I created molds with textures that simulate the skin of the human body and deffects, and I poured silicone in a variety of colors over them.
